Shore Temple, Mamallapuram, Tamil Nadu, India
Built between 700-728 AD by the Pallava king Narasimhavarman II, this Shore Temple in Mamallapuram is one of the earliest stone temples in India. It is believed this is only surviving temple of the set of seven temples built along the coast. The temple is dedicated to Shiva although there is a statue of Sheshasayi Vishnu at the rear of the temple.
