Mangrove Forest, Pichavaram, Tamil Nadu, India

Pichavaram Mangrove Forest is located 15 kms from the town of Chidambaram in Tamil Nadu. It is formed by the delta of Vellar and Coleroon river systems. It is an important wildlife habitat for local and migratory bird species. The hundreds of these narrow canals are navigable by small row boats.
