The Leaning Tower, Pisa, Tuscany, Italy

This most recognised tower on the planet was constructed over a period of 199 years starting from the year 1173 AD. The tower, when today leans about 4 degrees, started leaning almost immediately and the construction carried on with various architects trying their best to correct it as they went along. The tower is built in the Romenesque style.
