Ngo Mon Gate, Imperial Enclosure, Kinh Thanh, Hue

Hue Citadel

Built mostly between 1804 and 1833, the Hue Citadel was the seat of power of the Nguyen dynasty. They were the last rulers of Vietnam ruling the country from 1802 to the end of the World Wars. The capital was shifted here to Hue from Hanoi. Seen here is the majestic entrance gateway to the Imperial Complex.
