Durga Temple, Aihole, Karnataka, India

Badami Chalukyas experimented with various temple styles in Aihole and Pattadakal. This 7th century Durga temple is the result of one such experiment. The temple gets its name from the fact that it looks like a fort - Durga means "fort" in Kannada.
