Qutub Minar, New Delhi, India
Construction of Qutub Minar was started by Qutub-ud-Din Aibak, the first sultan of the first Delhi Sultanate, in 1200 AD and was completed by his son-in-law Shams-ud-din Iltutmish. With a height of 73 m, this is the tallest brick minaret in the world. Its diameter ranges from 14.3 m at the base to 2.75 m at the top.
