This was our first major trip with our son. We want to test the waters with a trip inside the United States before heading onto south of the border. Pranav was around 6 months old now. Manoj's mother joined us for the trip as we needed as much help as possible on our maiden trip.
We had a 3pm flight from Irvine to O'Hare. We reached the John Wayne airport around noon. Pranav was on Enfamil and Gerber food. we had carried enough to last the entire trip. As it always happens, the flight to O'Hare got delayed due to the weather. The flight left at 5:30 and hovered over Wisconsin for an hour to wait out the thunder storm and finally landed in O'Hare a little after mid night. By the time we checked into the roadside Motel 8 it was well past 2am. Pranav was still not very mobile. So he was just happy sitting in our laps and ate and slept when he wanted to.
We woke up after a patchy sleep at around 6:30 am and after feeding Pranav his Enfamil and oats, went to Downtown. We spent most of the day at the Art Institute. Since we had a kid, we were allowed to take in his food stashed under is stroller. Pranav had a good time watching the crowd and the art pieces. The stroller can be made into a bed and he slept well in it. We came back to our hotel by 5pm and retired early for the day.
Aparna spent the day with her friend. Pranav stayed with her all day. Manoj and his mother spent the day roaming around Chicago.
Today was exactly same as Thursday with Field Museum of Natural History replacing the Art Institute in the itinerary.
Today was exactly same as Thursday and Saturday with Shedd Aquarium replacing the Art Institute/Field Museum in the itinerary.
Took the early morning flight back to Irvine. This time the flight was not delayed and we don't remember having any trouble with Pranav.
